From Hand Filling to a Machine

The buyer is a start-up in Argentina that filled its household liquid detergent by hand. This machine is its first step to automatic filling. The chat used for this article opens on 14 August 2026.

What They Needed to Pack

Each pouch holds about 200 ml. The pouch is a stand-up doypack, filled through the open top, with no spout. The buyer also asked about spout pouches. Our standard set-up does not take them; they need an added horizontal bag feeder. The buyer postponed that option.

Four Stations or Eight

Our first quotation, on 15 August 2026, was for a 4-station premade pouch machine. Its specification lists five steps: take the bag, open it, fill it, straighten it and seal it. The SW-Y200 specification has eight stations and adds a bottom opener for stand-up pouches and two sealing devices. Both quotations carried the same loading and unloading equipment.

After a video of a similar machine running for another customer, the buyer moved to the 8-station SW-Y200. Of that video, the buyer wrote: “Ojala que la que nos vas a preparar sea parecida a esta”. In English: “I hope the one you prepare for us is similar to this one.”

Premade Bag Liquid Packing Machine

An 8-station rotary machine for liquid and paste products in premade pouches. It doses through a filling unit with an anti-drip nozzle.

Dated 10 September 2026, the PI covers one 8-station machine with a date printer, a bottom-opening device, a feeding pump and a liquid pump. Our SW-Y200 specification for this buyer pairs a pneumatic dosing pump with a diaphragm feed pump. The document describes that pair as suited to free-flowing liquids from a supply line or a large tank. For sticky pastes, the same document lists a rotary pump instead.

Rated Speed and Bag Range

On the SW-Y200 page the rated speed is 16–50 bags/min (machine specification; not measured on this order). It lists bags 80–200 mm wide and 100–350 mm long, and a fill volume of 50–1,000 ml, which covers a 200 ml pouch.

How the SW-Y200 Handles 200 ml Liquid Detergent

Liquid detergent poses the opposite problem to powder. Nothing bridges; the product flows readily and keeps flowing after the dose is complete. Viscosity steers the choice of pump, from water-thin liquids up to honey-thick ones, and smooth, particle-free products such as detergent and shampoo sit at the easy end. Viscosity alone does not decide it, though: particles, temperature and required output count as well.

The work is split between two pumps. The diaphragm feed pump moves detergent from the supply line or tank. The pneumatic dosing pump draws from the stainless steel hopper and meters each dose through the nozzle into the pouch. That pairing is meant for free-flowing liquids; a sticky paste would call for a different pump rather than a different setting.

Between doses the anti-drip nozzle holds the liquid back while the next pouch indexes in under the nozzle. Nothing runs down the outside of the pouch or onto the area that will be sealed.

Sensors confirm that each pouch has opened before the dose is released, and the machine passes over any pouch that stayed closed. Detergent poured onto a closed mouth would wet the jaws and every station after them.

How the Project Ran

Commercial Terms

  • Incoterm: CIF, to a port in Argentina. Freight inside the CIF price was an estimate; any excess is paid by the buyer.
  • Payment: 30% deposit; balance paid by bank transfer before shipment.
  • Lead time: 15–20 days after the deposit, as written on the PI.
  • Packing: wooden case plus one tool box.
  • Warranty: 2 years. In-warranty parts are free, wear parts excluded. Remote support is lifetime.

Status

The finished machine is waiting for the balance payment and shipment. There is no installation or running result to report yet.

What We Would Check First on a Similar Project

Three questions come before the station count when a business leaves hand filling.

How does the liquid reach the machine? A free-flowing detergent and a sticky paste use different pumps. Send us the liquid, or tell us its viscosity.

Is a spout pouch coming? On this order it would need an added horizontal bag feeder. I would decide that before the build.

What do you need to see running? This buyer chose after watching a similar machine on video. Ask for a video of the machine type first, then photos or video of your own unit before the balance.

Frequently Asked Questions

Four stations or eight: how was the choice made?

After a video of a similar machine running for another customer, the buyer asked for the 8-station SW-Y200 in place of our 4-station quotation. Both quotations had the same loading and unloading equipment.

Which pumps feed the liquid on this order?

The PI lists a feeding pump and a liquid pump. Our specification for this buyer names a pneumatic dosing pump and a diaphragm feed pump that can draw from a supply line or a large tank.

Would a spout pouch work on this machine?

Not as configured. This order is an open-top doypack with no spout. Spout pouches would need an added horizontal bag feeder, and the buyer postponed that option.
