Product Overview

SW-2030C: Bucket Conveyor Back-Seal VFFS for Low-Stick Granules

The SW-2030C is the tipping bucket version of the compact SW-2030 back-seal vertical packing platform. Rollstock film feeds from the rear of the machine, wraps around a forming tube, receives a longitudinal back seal, and is cross-sealed into small sachets. Above the forming tube, a chain bucket conveyor lifts product from the lower feeding point to the dosing position. A volumetric cup or bucket then drops the measured product into the open bag mouth with a short drop path. This layout is useful when the product is a small solid or granule that should not be crushed, rubbed, or forced through an auger screw.

The machine is specified for 50-200 mm bag length, 25-140 mm bag width, film width up to 300 mm, and 20-50 bags per minute. Standard power is 1.8 kW, with 220V/380V project voltage confirmed before production, an approximate machine weight of 300 kg, and a compact body size of L1260 x W930 x H1700 mm. These specifications make it practical for factories that need automatic sachet packing but do not have the floor area or production volume for a full collar type VFFS line.

The SW-2030C sits between two related ShengWei machines. If your product is a regular free-flowing granule that can be metered by cups, the SW-2030A back seal granule machine is the closest alternative. If your product is sticky, dusty, or needs screw-metered powder dosing, the SW-2030B auger powder machine uses the same base frame but replaces the bucket feeding system with a servo-controlled auger. For high-volume multi-lane stick packs, the SW-B10 ten-column back-seal vertical machine runs 10 lanes at once.

Notes
Sample testing recommended for fragile or mixed-size pieces

The SW-2030C is designed for small low-stick powder and granule products in back-seal sachets up to 140 mm wide. If the sample is sticky powder, dusty powder requiring auger accuracy, liquid, paste, oversized granules, a large fill-weight project, or a premade pouch requirement, confirm the filling method and pouch structure first so the machine platform is selected correctly.

Bag Format

Output Bag Type: Back Seal Sachet

The SW-2030C produces back-seal sachets, also called center-back-seal bags or vertical pillow sachets. A single roll of heat-sealable film wraps around the forming tube, the rear overlap is sealed by the longitudinal back seal, and the top and bottom are closed by horizontal cross seals. For small granules and desiccant packs, this bag style keeps film cost low, runs efficiently on a compact VFFS frame, and gives enough panel area for date code, logo, product name, or warning text.

Bag-format check: the SW-2030C is a back-seal vertical form-fill-seal machine. It is suitable when your rollstock film can form a center-back-seal sachet within the 25-140 mm bag-width range. It is not the right platform for three-side-seal sachets, four-side-seal sachets, premade stand-up pouches, zipper pouches, or spouted pouches. Confirm the required pouch structure before quotation so the machine platform, forming tube, and sealing layout are selected correctly.

Machine Operation

How the Tipping Bucket Back-Seal Cycle Works

The SW-2030C forms and seals bags continuously while the chain bucket system meters product above the forming tube. The timing of bucket discharge, film pull, vertical back seal, horizontal seal, and cutting is coordinated by the control system. This makes the machine suitable for low-stick powder and granule products that need stable transfer without auger compression.

01

Product Feeding

Small granules or pieces are loaded into the feeding hopper or turntable feeder. The bucket conveyor lifts product to the upper dosing position at a controlled speed. Cup or bucket size and feed timing are selected based on the target fill weight and product flow behavior.

02

Film Forming & Back Seal

Rollstock film unwinds from the rear roll holder and passes over the forming collar. The film wraps around the forming tube, and the overlapping rear seam is sealed by the vertical back-seal bar. Photoelectric tracking reads the printed mark and corrects film pull length.

03

Tipping Bucket Drop

When the open bag reaches the filling position, the bucket tips and releases product through the filling chute. The drop is short and clean, which helps handle chips, oatmeal, melon seeds, sugar, salt, glutamate, and desiccant granules with less abrasion or spillage.

04

Cross Seal & Cutting

Horizontal seal jaws close across the film tube, forming the top seal of the filled sachet and the bottom seal of the next sachet. A built-in knife separates the finished bag. Temperature, jaw pressure, seal time, and bag length are adjusted from the touch screen.

Four Core Systems That Define the SW-2030C

The SW-2030C is not simply the powder model with a different hopper. Its value comes from the combination of bucket feeding, compact back-seal forming, synchronized sealing, and accessible control. These four systems determine whether the machine fits your product shape, bag size, and output expectation.

1. Chain Bucket Conveyor

The conveyor lifts low-stick food granules and small dry pieces in individual buckets instead of pushing them through a screw or vibrating them across a long tray. This is useful for desiccant granules, chips, oatmeal, melon seeds, sugar, salt, and glutamate because the product is transported in contained pockets with less rubbing and less product loss.

2. Volumetric Cup or Tipping Bucket Dosing

The cup or bucket drops product at the filling position and releases it directly into the open bag. Bucket size can be matched to the required fill weight or piece count. For products with variable density, we recommend a sample test so our engineers can choose bucket volume and confirm realistic accuracy before production.

3. Compact Back-Seal Forming Tube

Film wraps around a polished SUS304 forming tube to create the back-seal sachet. The tube and collar are selected for your target bag width from 25 mm to 140 mm. Bag length is adjusted on the touch screen, so common size changes are faster than mechanical rebuilds.

4. Touch Screen and Photo-Eye Tracking

The control system coordinates bucket discharge, film pull, electronic photo-eye tracking, longitudinal back sealing, cross sealing, cutting, and optional date printing. Operators can adjust speed, set seal temperature, and diagnose alarms from the touch screen. HMI language and voltage can be configured for the destination market.

Decision Guide

SW-2030C vs SW-2030A and SW-2030B - Which Do You Need?

The three SW-2030 models share a compact back-seal VFFS body, but the feeding system is different. Choosing the correct one depends on product shape, flow behavior, fill weight, and the way the product should enter the bag.

Choose SW-2030C When:

  • Your product is chips, oatmeal, glutamate, melon seeds, sugar, salt, desiccant, or a similar low-stick granule
  • You need bucket conveyor feeding with volumetric cup or tipping bucket dosing
  • Your finished bag width is 25-140 mm and length is 50-200 mm
  • You need a compact 1.8 kW small-sachet machine, with voltage confirmed for your factory
  • Your expected running speed is within the 20-50 bags/min project range

Choose SW-2030A or SW-2030B When:

  • Use SW-2030A for free-flowing granules that can be metered by turntable cups
  • Use SW-2030B for fine powder, spice, coffee, flour, or chemical powder
  • Use SW-B10 when you need multi-lane stick packs at much higher output
  • Use collar type machines when bag width, bag length, or fill weight exceeds the compact SW-2030 range
  • Use premade bag machines when your required pouch is stand-up, zipper, or shaped pouch

When This Machine Is Not the Right Fit

The SW-2030C is designed for small solids and granules in back-seal sachets. It is not the right fit if the product is sticky powder, liquid or paste, too large for the 25-140 mm bag-width range, or too heavy for a compact 1.8 kW small-sachet platform. It is also not the right fit when the required package is a premade stand-up pouch, zipper pouch, spouted pouch, three-side-seal sachet, or four-side-seal sachet. In those cases, choose the machine platform from the required pouch structure and filling method first.

Client Feedback

What Our Clients Say

We needed a compact machine for small preservative packs used inside snack cartons. The bucket feeding was the key reason we chose the SW-2030C. The product does not bridge like it did in our old hopper, and bag length adjustment is simple on the touch screen. ShengWei tested our sample film before shipment and gave us the starting temperature settings, which saved a lot of time during installation.

Daniel K.

Production Manager - Food Additive Supplier, Malaysia

Our workshop packs small snack granules and seasoning sachets in several bag sizes. The SW-2030C is small enough to sit near our manual packing line, but it gives us automatic film forming, sealing, cutting, and date coding. Changeover between products takes less time than we expected because the operator can adjust settings from the touch screen.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What products can the SW-2030C pack?

The SW-2030C is designed for low-stick powder and granule products that can be lifted by a bucket conveyor and released by volumetric cup or tipping bucket dosing. Typical products include freshness preservers, desiccant granules, chips, oatmeal, glutamate, melon seeds, sugar, salt, seasoning granules, and similar free-flowing materials. Sticky, wet, dusty, or irregular products should be tested before quotation.

How accurate is the tipping bucket filling?

Accuracy depends on product size, bulk density, flow stability, and bucket volume. For uniform granules and small pieces, bucket dosing is consistent enough for most food and accessory sachet applications. If your project requires strict weight tolerance or exact piece count, send a sample so we can test the bucket size, feed timing, and discharge behavior on the actual machine configuration.

What is the difference between SW-2030C and SW-2030A?

Both machines produce back-seal sachets on the compact SW-2030 vertical platform. The SW-2030A uses a turntable cup feeder for regular free-flowing granules. The SW-2030C uses chain bucket feeding and tipping bucket discharge, which is better for low-stick food granules, desiccant, chips, oatmeal, melon seeds, sugar, salt, glutamate, or similar materials that benefit from contained lifting and a short drop into the bag.

What is the difference between SW-2030C and SW-2030B?

The SW-2030B uses an auger screw filler for powders that require screw metering, such as spice powder, coffee powder, flour, or chemical powder. The SW-2030C uses bucket conveyor feeding with volumetric cup or tipping bucket dosing for low-stick powder and granule materials such as desiccant, chips, oatmeal, melon seeds, sugar, salt, or glutamate. Use a sample test when the product sits between these two behaviors.

What film materials are compatible?

The machine can run common heat-sealable rollstock films including OPP/CPP, OPP/PE, PET/PE, NYLON/PE, and aluminum foil laminate. Film width must be within 300 mm. Because film thickness and laminate structure affect seal temperature and cutting quality, we recommend sending your film sample for a sealing test before production.

What bag sizes can this machine make?

The standard specification supports 50-200 mm bag length and 25-140 mm bag width, with maximum film width of 300 mm. Bag length is adjusted on the touch screen. Bag width depends on the forming tube size, so additional forming tubes can be ordered when you need multiple bag widths on the same machine.

What is the actual packing speed?

The project specification range is 20-50 bags per minute. Actual speed depends on bag length, film type, seal dwell time, product drop behavior, and target fill weight. Stable low-stick products in short sachets can run faster than fragile pieces, larger fills, or thicker films.

Can I add a date printer or finished bag conveyor?

Yes. A thermal ribbon date printer can be installed to print production date, batch number, or expiry date on each sachet. A finished bag conveyor, counting table, and product feeding accessory can also be discussed based on your factory layout. Confirm these options before production so the frame and wiring can be prepared correctly.

What is the lead time and payment terms?

Standard lead time is usually 20-25 working days after deposit confirmation. Payment terms are normally 30% deposit with the order and 70% balance before shipment by T/T. Custom bucket size, special voltage, additional forming tubes, HMI language, date printer, or non-standard feeding accessories may add production time.

Can I send a product sample for a packing test?

Yes. Send your product sample, target fill weight, sample sachet or rollstock film, and expected bag size to our Shantou factory. We can run a packing test on the SW-2030C configuration, record a video, and share the recommended bucket size, film width, sealing parameters, and machine settings. This is the most reliable way to confirm suitability before placing an order.
