What’s the minimum bag size for a doypack filler?
ShengWei premade-bag fillers run pouches as small as 80×100 mm (width × length). Below that, the rotary grippers can’t reliably hold and open the bag. For sachets smaller than 80 mm width, consider a VFFS line instead — see our 3-side seal page for that route.
Are these machines compatible with zipper pouches?
Yes — all four models include an automatic zipper-opening station as a standard module. The zipper is detected, opened, the bag is filled, then the top is sealed below the zipper line. Do your machines support K-seal (flat-bottom) pouches?
Yes, with a configuration adjustment. K-seal pouches have additional bottom seams that need precise gripper positioning. Inform our engineers of your bag template (with technical drawing) at quote stage so we can set up the gripper spacing and bottom support correctly. What’s the typical lead time to the port of shipment?
Standard lead time is 25–35 working days from deposit confirmation to FOB Shantou — the same window we have held for over a decade of manufacturing premade-bag fillers in Guangdong. Custom configurations (special voltage, multi-language HMI, additional zipper or nitrogen modules) may add 5–10 days. Sea freight transit: Southeast Asia 7–14 days, Middle East 18–25 days, Europe 30–40 days, Latin America 30–45 days.
Do you provide overseas installation and training?
Yes. ShengWei engineers can travel to your facility for installation and operator training, typically 7–10 days on-site — trained on the same lines they assemble at our Guangdong factory and quality center. How does a doypack filler differ from a VFFS line for the same product?
Premade-bag rotary fillers (the SW-D, SW-L, SW-Y, and SW-130ZK series on this page) buy pre-converted pouches from a bag converter and load them onto rotary grippers. Vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS) machines form the bag from rollstock film in the same pass as filling. Premade is preferred for high-graphics retail pouches with zippers and complex print, because the bag converter delivers higher print quality than in-line printing. VFFS wins for high-volume single-SKU pillow bags where film cost matters more than shelf appeal. What films and laminates are compatible with these machines?
ShengWei premade-bag fillers handle PET/PE, PET/AL/PE, kraft paper laminates, recyclable mono-PE/PP, and metallized films from 60–150 micron thickness. Sealing temperature, jaw pressure, and dwell time are all adjustable via the HMI panel for fine-tuning per film type.
