An Inquiry Handed Over

This inquiry changed hands inside our sales team on 21 September 2026, and this article draws on the chat from that day on. Our SW-L200 quotation went out the same day, with photos of an SW-L200 touch screen.

Powder Blends and One Priority

Only the buyer's own words describe the product: “I will be packing various powder blends so the important thing is a good seal”. There are two pouches: 160 × 220 mm for 500 g and 175 × 290 mm for 1 kg. Each runs with or without a zipper. The machine was specified for 380 V three-phase power.

Settling the Seal Before the Order

The seal was agreed before the order. The SW-L200 seals each pouch twice, and our quotation describes the two sealing devices as there to shape the seal and make it firm. We proposed strips on the first seal and a flat face on the second. The buyer's engineer confirmed that set-up, and the order followed.

On 6 October 2026, the day we confirmed the deposit, we sent photos of the sealing jaws with a note on the sealing size.

Premade Bag Powder Packing Machine

An 8-station rotary machine that fills premade pouches with powder through an auger screw filler.

Four items sit on the PI next to the SW-L200: an auger conveyor, a vertical auger filler, a dust collector and a zipper opener. We used the configuration of another customer's SW-L200 as the reference. When the buyer asked for the formal quotation on 24 September 2026, a spare-parts package was added to the order.

The zipper opener is switched on or off by pouch type. For plain and zipper pouches of the same size, that is a touch-screen setting. Our quotation says a zipper pouch must be wider than 10 cm, and both pouches here are.

Rated Speed and Bag Range

The machine is rated at 16–50 bags/min (machine specification; not measured on this order). The PI sets the bag range at 100–200 mm wide and 100–320 mm long, which takes both pouch sizes.

How the SW-L200 Handles Powder Blends in 500 g and 1 kg Zipper Pouches

For a buyer whose priority is the seal, the work starts upstream of the jaws. The auger conveyor holds the powder level above the vertical auger constant, so head pressure on the screw does not rise and fall as the hopper empties. Dust is handled where it is made: the dust collector sits at the filling station, and that station is kept apart from the sealing stations further round the table.

A zipper is a trap for powder. At the opening station the zipper opener engages the zipper profile and pulls it fully apart before the filler doses. If the profile stayed partly closed, product could lodge in the zipper track and spoil the top seal later. For the plain version of the same pouch, the opener is simply switched off on the touch screen.

The machine also refuses to fill a pouch it has not opened. Sensors check each opening, and the auger only receives a pouch confirmed open; a failed one is skipped. Powder is therefore never dosed onto a closed mouth, where it would end up on the pouch top and the jaws.

Moving between the 500 g and 1 kg pouches means adjusting the grippers and the bag magazine for the new size. How long that takes depends on the pouch format.

How the Project Ran

21 September 2026 Inquiry handed over; quotation and touch-screen photos sent
24 September 2026 Buyer decides to order and asks for a formal quotation
26 September 2026 PI issued
29 September 2026 Deposit sent by the buyer
6 October 2026 Deposit confirmed received; sealing-jaw photos sent

The decision came three days after the handover. On 24 September 2026 the buyer wrote: “I wish to go ahead with this order so can you please issue a formal quotation”. The deposit left the buyer three days after the PI.

Commercial Terms

  • Incoterm: EXW, as written on the PI. The buyer asked us for a sea-freight quotation.
  • Payment: 30% deposit; balance paid by bank transfer before shipment.
  • Lead time: 15–20 days after payment, as written on the PI.
  • Warranty: 2 years. In-warranty parts are free, wear parts excluded. Remote support is lifetime.

Status

The machine is in production after the deposit. No shipment is recorded yet, and we have no seal result on the buyer's own pouches.

What We Would Check First on a Similar Project

If the seal is your priority, agree the seal layout before the order. Send the pouch film or a sample pouch, so we can check the seal faces against it. Say which pouches carry a zipper, and check each width against the machine's zipper minimum. Tell us how dusty the blend is; this order has a dust collector. Then ask your own engineer to sign off the seal layout, as this buyer's engineer did.

The Premade Bag Powder Packing Machine page has the full specification. For a different powder on a vertical sachet machine, see our Mexico Case Study: SW-2030 Back-Seal Machine for 30 g Protein Powder Sachets.

Frequently Asked Questions

How was the seal layout agreed before this order?

We proposed a striped first seal and a flat second seal. The buyer's engineer confirmed that set-up before the buyer placed the order. On 6 October 2026 we sent photos of the sealing jaws with a note on the sealing size.

Which pouch sizes and zipper options does this SW-L200 cover?

Both pouches in this order, 160 × 220 mm and 175 × 290 mm, fall inside the 100–200 × 100–320 mm bag range on the PI. Moving to another pouch size means adjusting the grippers and the bag magazine. Plain and zipper pouches of the same size are switched on the touch screen by turning the zipper opener on or off.

What equipment is on this order besides the pouch machine?

The PI lists an auger conveyor, a vertical auger filler, a dust collector and a zipper opener. A spare-parts package was added to the order on 24 September 2026.
