Start with how the bag is made
A flexible pack comes into being one of two ways: either your bag supplier makes the bag and the machine fills it, or the machine forms the bag out of a roll of film and fills it in the same cycle. That one choice decides the platform, the changeover work, the cost per bag and most of the price. The first two families below fill bags that already exist; the last three form the bag from film. Each family name opens the family page; each model name opens the machine.
Premade Bag Packing Machine
Your bag supplier prints, cuts and welds the pouch; the machine takes it from a magazine, opens it, fills it and seals the top. This is the family to look at when the bag is a retail object in its own right and the print on it is part of the product. Granule Packing
For whole pieces that flow — nuts, trail mix, candy, coffee beans, granola, dry pet food. A multi-head combination weigher weighs each charge before it goes in, because the pieces vary in shape and size.

Powder Packing
For powder that will not fall evenly on its own — protein blends, milk powder, ground coffee, spice mixes. A servo auger screw meters each dose by rotation instead of by gravity.

Spouted Pouch on the Premade Side
The answer when the pouch you already order arrives with a spout welded into it — drink pouches, baby food, gels. Nothing is formed on the line; the bag is bought and the machine takes over from there.

Spout Pouch Filling and Capping Machine
