Start with how the bag is made

A flexible pack comes into being one of two ways: either your bag supplier makes the bag and the machine fills it, or the machine forms the bag out of a roll of film and fills it in the same cycle. That one choice decides the platform, the changeover work, the cost per bag and most of the price. The first two families below fill bags that already exist; the last three form the bag from film. Each family name opens the family page; each model name opens the machine.

Premade Bag Packing Machine

Your bag supplier prints, cuts and welds the pouch; the machine takes it from a magazine, opens it, fills it and seals the top. This is the family to look at when the bag is a retail object in its own right and the print on it is part of the product. Changeover between bag designs is quick, because the machine does not have to form anything. Family page: Premade Bag Packing Machine.

SW-CCS6 is listed under both Premade Bag Packing Machine and Spout Pouch Filling and Capping Machine because it fills and caps pouches that arrive ready-made with the spout already fitted. It is one model, counted once.

Spout Pouch Filling and Capping Machine

A spouted pouch is filled through its own fitment and then closed with a screw cap, so filling and capping happen in one machine and one cycle. Juice, jelly, baby food, energy gel and liquid detergent are the usual reasons buyers arrive here. Family page: Spout Pouch Filling and Capping Machine.

Collar Type Packing Machine

A roll of film runs over a forming collar, becomes a tube, and is filled and sealed as it travels down — the bag and the pack are made in the same motion. This is the family to look at when the pack is a commodity rather than a display object and the cost of the bag itself matters. The five machines differ in one thing: how the product is measured out. Family page: Collar Type Packing Machine.

Full Automatic Vertical Packing Machine

The same form-fill-seal idea, built for small packs and for several lanes at once. Single sachets, stick packs, triangle bags and multi-lane units that finish several packs per cycle all live here — twelve machines covering three-side, four-side and back-seal formats. Family page: Full Automatic Vertical Packing Machine.

SW-A6

Six Column Three Side Seal

Six lanes of three-side seal sachets from a single film roll — condiment and portion packs, where packs per hour decides the business case.

SW-B10

Ten Column Back Seal

Ten lanes of narrow back-seal sticks — sugar, instant coffee, seasoning — for the highest sachet counts in the range.

SW-C6

Six Column Four Side Seal

Six lanes of four-side seal sachets, the flatter pack with a sealed border on all four edges, used where the front face is the label.

SW-1022

Triangle / Pyramid Packing

The pyramid tea bag and other triangle packs, where the shape gives leaf or granules room to move and shows the contents through the film.

SW-1328

Three Side Seal Single Sachet

One sachet at a time, sealed on three edges — the choice for shorter runs and for lines that change recipe often.

SW-1528 / 1528B

Four Side Seal Single Sachet

Single-lane four-side seal for sample packs, condiments and trial sizes, where the flat sealed border is part of how the pack is handled.

SW-2030A

Granule Back Seal

Small back-seal sachets of free-flowing granules, fed from a turntable that keeps the drop steady pack after pack.

SW-2030B

Auger Powder Back Seal

The powder version of the same small back-seal pack, with an auger screw doing the dosing instead of a turntable.

SW-2030C

Tipping Bucket Back Seal

A tipping bucket handles product that will not pour cleanly on its own before it reaches the back-seal sachet.

SW-2030D

Pendular Small Granule

A pendulum feeder for small, light granules that bounce or bridge in a straight drop — candy, seeds, spice.

SW-2830A

Jelly Bar Stick (Liquid)

Liquid into a long stick pack sealed along the back — jelly bars, drink sticks and ice sticks that are frozen after filling.

SW-2830B

Reciprocating Powder Stick

A reciprocating jaw for stick packs where the seal has to close on film that carries powder dust.

Horizontal Flow Wrap (HFFS) Pillow Pouch Packing Machines

For products that are already solid objects — a biscuit, a bar, a soap, an ice pop, a hardware part. The item is fed in horizontally, film wraps around it, and the pack is sealed along the back and at both ends. Nine machines, separated mainly by how the product is fed in and where the film comes from. Family page: Horizontal Flow Wrap (HFFS) Pillow Pouch Packing Machines.

SW-350A / 450A / 550A

Multifunctional Pillow Wrapper

The general-purpose wrapper: biscuits, bars, soap, small hardware — anything solid that can be placed or conveyed onto the infeed belt.

SW-350B / 450B

Under-Film Pillow Wrapper

Film fed from beneath the product, which suits flat items set straight onto the belt without a transfer step.

SW-150

Rear-Film Pillow Wrapper

Film fed from the rear — the layout to pick when the infeed has to stay clear for an operator or for an upstream line.

SW-1000A

Single Candy Turnplate

A turnplate lines candy up and feeds the wrapper, so nobody has to place each piece on the belt by hand.

SW-1000B

Dual Candy Turnplate

Two turnplates feeding one wrapper, for mixed pieces or for keeping the wrapper supplied without a gap in the flow.

SW-300A

Turntable Packaging Line

Turntable infeed, conveyor and wrapper supplied together as one line rather than as separate machines to be matched on site.

SW-300B

Tidying Feeding Line

A tidying feeder squares up irregular items — stock cubes, moulded pieces — so they arrive at the wrapper in the same orientation every time.

SW-1200

Three-Servo High Speed

Three servos drive film feed, sealing and cutting independently — the configuration used for high-speed candy and gummy work.

SW-100

Ice Pop Liquid Filler

Fills and wraps an ice pop in one pass: liquid goes into the film tube, which is then sealed and cut into sticks ready for the freezer.

By Product

Or start from what you are packing

Some buyers do not think in families at all — they think in what they have to pack. Powder is the one material that changes almost every decision on the line, from the dosing device to the seal, so it has a page of its own: Powder Packaging Solutions: How to Match a Line to Your Powder walks through behaviour classes, pack formats, what goes wrong, and what has to be measured on your own powder before anyone quotes a tolerance. For every other material, the quickest route is to pick the family above or the pouch format below — or send us the product and let our engineers do the matching. Free-flowing granules and small solid pieces have an entry of their own as well: granule packing machines groups them by how each dose is measured.

By Bag Format

Or start from the pouch you are going to sell

Pouch format is a third axis, at right angles to the other two: the same format can be filled from a premade bag or formed from film, and one machine will often run several formats. If the pack is already decided, start from Pouch Types, or go straight to the format you need — Stand-Up Pouch & Doypack Packing Machines, Zipper Pouch Packing Machine, 3 Side Seal Pouch Packing Machines, 4 Side Seal Pouch Packing Machines, Back Seal Pouch Packing Machines, Gusset Bag Packing Machines or Flat Bottom Pouch Packing Machines.

Selection Method

Still deciding what to compare first?

This page is a directory: it tells you what exists and where each machine lives. Questions Answered

Frequently Asked Questions

I know my product but not the machine type. Where do I start?

Start with one question: is the bag bought ready-made, or formed by the machine from a film roll? If the pack is a printed retail pouch you already buy, look at Premade Bag Packing Machine. If the pack is a sachet, a stick or a wrapped solid item made on the line, look at Collar Type Packing Machine, Full Automatic Vertical Packing Machine or Horizontal Flow Wrap (HFFS) Pillow Pouch Packing Machines. If the product is a powder, read Powder Packaging Solutions: How to Match a Line to Your Powder first — powder changes the dosing device and the seal.

Is every ShengWei machine listed on this page?

Yes. All 30 models are listed above, grouped by family. The family pages compare the machines inside one family against each other; the model pages carry the specifications, the component list, photos and video. This page exists so that you do not have to guess which family to open first.

Can one machine run more than one pouch format?

Often yes, within the platform and the bag-width band the machine was ordered with. A premade-bag filler takes whatever pouch shape your supplier makes, as long as the bag fits the gripper spacing. A form-fill-seal machine is tied to the seal geometry it was built for, so changing between a three-side and a four-side seal is a different machine rather than a changeover. Each model page states what its own platform covers.

How do I get a quote from this page?
