SW-ZK Series: Rotary Vacuum Sealing Machine

The SW-ZK series is built on the same 8-station rotary platform as the ShengWei premade bag machine family, with one critical addition: an integrated vacuum pump that extracts air from each pouch before the sealing jaws close. Removing oxygen from the package inhibits bacterial growth, prevents oxidation, and dramatically extends the shelf life of perishable products — meat, seafood, cheese, and frozen goods stay fresh 3–5 times longer than standard sealed pouches.

Product is fed into the open pouches from an external hopper or feeder (not included; matched to your product type). The PLC + HMI touch screen controls vacuum depth, sealing temperature, and cycle timing independently. All product-contact surfaces are SUS304 stainless steel. Two models cover bag widths from 80 mm to 160 mm — pick by your largest pouch format. Both handle stand-up and flat pouches.

All stations run simultaneously — while one pouch is being vacuum-sealed, others are being loaded, filled, and discharged in parallel.

Load & Open

Suction cups pick premade pouches from the bag magazine onto rotary gripper clamps. A second set of suction cups separates the panels; an air jet inflates the bag fully open. Sensors skip any failed opens automatically to prevent downtime.

Fill

Product drops into the open pouch from an external hopper or feeding system (vibrating feeder for granules, belt conveyor for irregular items like meat strips). The feeding system is matched to your product type and quoted separately. Fill weight range is 10–50 g per pouch.

Vacuum & Seal

The integrated vacuum pump extracts air from inside the pouch down to −0.1 MPa. Once the target vacuum depth is reached, heated sealing jaws close under controlled pressure. Temperature, dwell time, and vacuum depth are independently adjustable per recipe via the HMI panel. Cooling plates solidify the seal immediately to prevent deformation.

Code & Discharge

Optional date coder prints batch info and expiry date on the finished pouch. Gripper clamps release onto the outfeed conveyor. A reject mechanism removes underweight or failed-seal bags before they reach the packing station.

Vacuum vs Standard Sealing: Which Do You Need?

Not every product needs vacuum packaging. The right choice depends on your product's sensitivity to oxygen, your target shelf life, and your bag size.

Choose Vacuum Sealing (SW-ZK) When:

  • Your product is perishable and degrades rapidly when exposed to oxygen (meat, seafood, cheese, cooked food)
  • You need to extend shelf life by 3–5× without chemical preservatives
  • Your bag size is small — under 160 mm wide and under 50 g fill weight
  • Retail presentation requires a tight, wrinkle-free vacuum seal around the product

Choose Standard Sealing When:

  • Your product is shelf-stable (dry snacks, candy, nuts, coffee) and does not require air removal
  • Your bags are larger than 160 mm wide or fills exceed 50 g
  • You need nitrogen flushing instead of vacuum (e.g., chips that would crush under vacuum)
  • Higher speed (50+ bags/min at large bag sizes) is the priority over vacuum depth

When This Machine Is Not the Right Fit

The SW-ZK series is designed for small-portion vacuum packaging only (bag width ≤ 160 mm, fill weight ≤ 50 g). For larger bags with vacuum, the SW-D series and SW-Y series offer optional vacuum extraction as an add-on for bags up to 320 mm wide. Exact results depend on your product, storage temperature, and film barrier properties. For example, beef jerky may go from 3 months to 9–12 months, while frozen seafood can be protected against freezer burn for 12–18 months. We recommend testing with your specific product and film to confirm results.

Is a feeding system included with the machine?

No. The SW-ZK vacuum packing machine does not include a product feeding/elevating system. The feeding method depends entirely on your product type — vibrating feeder for granules, belt conveyor for irregular items, or manual feeding for low-volume operations. We recommend the right feeder based on your product and quote it separately so you only pay for what you need. Compressed air supply (≥ 0.8 m³/min) must also be provided on-site.

What is the lead time and payment terms?

Standard lead time is 20–30 working days after deposit confirmation. Payment: 30% deposit on order, 70% balance before shipment (T/T). Custom configurations (non-standard voltage, special HMI language, specific feeding system) may add 5–10 working days. Contact us with your requirements for a confirmed production schedule.

Can the voltage and HMI language be customized?

Yes. Available in 380V/50Hz (standard for most Asian and European markets) and 220V/60Hz (for North and Central American markets). The HMI touch screen supports English, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, Portuguese, French, and other languages on request. Specify both when requesting a quote.

What warranty and after-sales support is included?

2-year warranty covering manufacturing defects under normal operation and maintenance. Wear parts (sealing strips, suction cups, heating elements, vacuum pump seals) are excluded. Spare parts ship from our Guangdong factory within 3 working days. Remote video technical support is free for the lifetime of the machine. On-site installation and operator training are available on request (travel costs quoted separately).

How do I choose between the SW-130ZK and SW-160ZK?

The only difference is maximum bag width: SW-130ZK handles up to 130 mm, SW-160ZK up to 160 mm. Both share the same 8-station rotary platform, vacuum pump, control system, and sealing mechanism. Pick the model whose bag width range covers your largest pouch format. If you are unsure, send us your bag dimensions and we will recommend the right model.

Can I send a product sample for a vacuum packing test?

Yes. Ship 1–2 kg of your product plus a sample pouch (or let us source a pouch for you) to our Shantou factory. We run a vacuum packing test on the actual machine at multiple vacuum depths, record a video showing the seal quality and vacuum hold, and share the results with recommended settings. How often does the vacuum pump need maintenance?

The vacuum pump requires an oil change every 500–1,000 operating hours (roughly every 2–4 months under two-shift operation). The oil fill port is accessible from the machine exterior without disassembly. Pump seals should be inspected every 6 months. Both oil and seal kits are standard consumables shipped within 3 working days. We provide a maintenance schedule and remote guidance for first-time pump service.

What shipping options are available?

We ship via sea freight (FCL or LCL) to any international port, with FOB Shantou as the standard trade term. The machine is crated in a fumigation-free plywood case suitable for customs clearance. Air freight and door-to-door delivery via logistics partners are available on request. We can also work with your nominated freight forwarder.
