SW-L Series: 8-Station Rotary Auger Powder Filler

The SW-L series fills pre-formed pouches with powder products on an 8-station rotary carousel. Each station performs one step — bag loading, opening, filling, sealing, cooling, coding, detection, and discharge — all running simultaneously so throughput stays high even at large bag sizes.

A servo-driven auger screw filler (standard) meters each portion volumetrically with ±1 g accuracy for fills under 100 g. All product-contact surfaces are SUS304 stainless steel. The PLC + HMI touch screen stores up to 50 recipes and supports stand-up, flat, zipper, and gusset pouches — switch format via software, no mechanical retooling.

Machine Operation

How the 8-Station Rotary Cycle Works

All stations run simultaneously — while one pouch is being filled, others are being loaded, sealed, and discharged in parallel.

Load & Open

Suction cups pick premade pouches from the magazine onto rotary gripper clamps. A second set of suction cups separates the panels; an air jet inflates the bag fully open. Sensors skip any failed opens automatically.

Auger Fill

The servo-driven auger screw filler rotates a calibrated number of turns to dispense the target weight into the open pouch. A dust collector at the filling station captures airborne particles to keep the seal area clean and prevent contamination.

Seal & Cool

Heated jaws close the bag mouth under controlled pressure — temperature, dwell time, and pressure are adjustable per film type. A vacuum nozzle removes trapped air before sealing to prevent bag puffing. Cooling plates solidify the seal before release.

Code & Discharge

Optional date coder prints batch info on the finished pouch. Gripper clamps release onto the outfeed conveyor. A reject mechanism removes underweight or failed-seal bags before they reach the packing station.

Choose Premade Bag (SW-L) When:

  • You run multiple SKUs and switch bag formats frequently within a shift
  • Your product requires clean dosing with minimal dust — the enclosed auger + dust collector system keeps the seal area powder-free

Choose Collar Type VFFS When:

When This Machine Is Not the Right Fit

The SW-L series is built for powder and fine granule products only. For free-flowing dry granules (nuts, seeds, candy, coffee beans), the SW-D series with multi-head combination weigher is the correct choice — a weigher is faster and more accurate for granule products than an auger. For liquids and sauces, use the SW-Y series with pump filling. For mixed products (powder + granule or powder + liquid), contact us for a dual-filling configuration.

What is the lead time and payment terms?

Standard lead time is 20–30 working days after deposit confirmation. Payment: 30% deposit on order, 70% balance before shipment (T/T). Can the voltage and HMI language be customized?

Yes. Available in 380V/50Hz (standard for most Asian and European markets) and 220V/60Hz (for North and Central American markets). The HMI touch screen supports English, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, Portuguese, French, and other languages on request. Specify both when requesting a quote so we can confirm availability and lead time.

What warranty and after-sales support is included?

2-year warranty covering manufacturing defects under normal operation and maintenance. Wear parts (auger screws, sealing strips, suction cups, heating elements) are excluded. Spare parts ship from our Guangdong factory within 3 working days. Remote video technical support is free for the lifetime of the machine. How does the auger filler handle different powder densities?

The auger screw pitch is interchangeable — coarse-pitch screws for dense powders (flour, milk powder), fine-pitch screws for light powders (spice, pharmaceutical). The servo motor's rotation count per fill cycle is adjustable via the HMI panel, so switching between products requires only a recipe change and, if density differs significantly, swapping the auger screw (a 10-minute tool-free operation). We recommend sending a product sample for testing before ordering so we can pre-select the optimal screw configuration.

How do you prevent powder dust from contaminating the seal area?

Three systems work together: (1) the enclosed auger filling tube minimizes airborne particles during dispensing, (2) an optional dust collector at the filling station captures escaping powder before it reaches the seal zone, and (3) a vacuum nozzle removes trapped air from inside the pouch before sealing. This combination keeps the inner seal surfaces clean for strong, leak-free closures even with very fine powders.

Do you provide installation and operator training?

We provide a detailed installation manual, wiring diagram, and remote video guidance at no charge — most customers self-install successfully with remote support. For on-site installation, a ShengWei engineer can travel to your factory (travel and accommodation costs quoted separately, typically 7–10 days on-site). Training covers machine operation, recipe setup, auger screw changeover, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Can I send a product sample for a packing test?

Yes. Ship 2–5 kg of your powder product plus a sample pouch to our Shantou factory. We will run a packing test on the actual machine, record a video of the results, and share the footage along with recommended auger screw pitch and machine settings. How do I choose between the SW-L200, SW-L250, and SW-L320?

The only difference is maximum bag width: SW-L200 handles up to 200 mm, SW-L250 up to 250 mm, and SW-L320 up to 320 mm. All three share the same 8-station platform, control system, and auger filling system. Pick the model whose bag width range covers your largest pouch format. If you are unsure, send us your bag dimensions and we will recommend the right model.

Is this machine food-safe and pharmaceutical-grade?

All product-contact surfaces are SUS304 stainless steel, which meets food-grade and pharmaceutical-grade requirements. The machine is CE certified. For pharmaceutical applications, we can provide material certificates and compliance documentation. The enclosed auger filling system and optional dust collector help meet GMP clean-production requirements.

What shipping options are available?

We ship via sea freight (FCL or LCL) to any international port, with FOB Shantou as the standard trade term. The machine is crated in a fumigation-free plywood case suitable for customs clearance. Air freight and door-to-door delivery via logistics partners are available on request. We can also work with your nominated freight forwarder.
