What’s the smallest sachet size you can run on a 3-side seal machine?

Can I run liquid in 3-side seal sachets?
Yes. The SW-A6 multi-lane vertical fills liquids and semi-fluid sauces (ketchup, salad dressing and similar products) in 3-side seal sachets with the piston pump option. Pillow-pouch fin-seal is an alternative format; see back-seal pillow pouch.
Can a 3-side seal sachet have a zipper for resealable hospitality items?
Yes — gummy candy, chewy snacks, dried fruit, and pet treats all use 3-side seal with press-to-close zippers. Zippered 3-side seal pouches come premade from your bag converter and run on premade-bag fillers; ShengWei rollstock machines do not add zippers in-line. What films and laminates work with 3-side seal sachets?
3-side seal sachets accept PET/PE, PET/AL/PE (foil laminate for high-barrier), kraft paper laminate (for premium positioning), recyclable mono-PE, OPP/PE for low-cost SKUs, and metallized films from 50–120 micron thickness. Sealing temperature, jaw pressure, and dwell time are all adjustable per film type via the HMI. Ship a sample bag and product to our Guangdong factory for a sealing test before commitment. What’s the typical cost per sachet?
Rollstock film is priced by area, so the cost per sachet depends on bag size, film structure and barrier, print, zipper option, and order volume — ask your film supplier to quote your exact sachet dimensions. Multi-lane high-speed lines (SW-A6) reduce labor cost per bag substantially compared to single-lane.
Lead time and payment terms?
Standard lead time 15–30 working days from deposit confirmation to FOB Shantou for standard configurations; the six-lane SW-A6 takes 30–45 working days. Payment: 30% deposit, 70% before shipment by T/T. Deep-custom builds run longer — up to 45 working days, depending on complexity. Sea freight transit: SE Asia 7–14 days, Middle East 18–25 days, Europe 30–40 days. ShengWei has been building packaging machines in Guangdong since 2008.
Can I run a sample test before commitment?
Yes. Ship 2–5 kg of your product (powder, granule, liquid, or solid) plus a sample bag to our Shantou factory. ShengWei runs a packing test on the actual machine, records video of the run, and shares results with recommended speed and fill settings.
