SW-2030D: Pendulum-Dosing VFFS for Small Granule Products
The SW-2030D is a compact vertical form-fill-seal machine built around a pendulum (oscillating) dosing head. Instead of a turntable cup filler, a screw auger, or a chain bucket conveyor, the pendulum swings measured volumes of small granules from the hopper to the forming tube on each cycle. This dosing style is stable for small candy, melon seeds, nuts, peanuts, coffee beans, seasoning granules, seeds, and other free-flowing solids in the 5-500 g fill-weight range.
The machine produces sachets 50-200 mm long and 40-140 mm wide at 30-60 bags per minute, powered by a 2.0 kW 220V 50/60 Hz supply. Siemens PLC control with touch-screen operation, servo-driven film pull for precise length control, independent PID temperature control for the sealing jaws, and SUS304 food-grade stainless steel contact parts are standard. The SW-2030D weighs approximately 350 kg and has a compact footprint of 900 x 700 x 1700 mm, so it fits comfortably in small and medium-sized food workshops.
One forming tube change lets the same machine produce three different sachet formats: three-side-seal, four-side-seal, and back-seal. If your product is fine powder that needs screw metering, use the SW-2030B auger powder machine instead. Bag-format check: the SW-2030D is a rollstock VFFS machine. It is suitable when your finished sachet is three-side-seal, four-side-seal, or back-seal within 40-140 mm bag width and 50-200 mm bag length. It is not the right platform for premade stand-up pouches, zipper pouches, spouted pouches, or stick packs wider than 140 mm. Confirm the required pouch structure before quotation so the machine platform and forming tube are selected correctly.
How the Pendulum Dosing Cycle Works
The SW-2030D coordinates pendulum swing, film pull, bag forming, longitudinal sealing, cross sealing, and cutting in one synchronized cycle. The timing between pendulum discharge and bag position is controlled by the Siemens PLC and servo motor so that each bag receives a consistent fill weight.

Pendulum Metering
Small granules flow from the stainless steel hopper into the pendulum dosing head. Each swing transfers a fixed volume of product toward the filling chute. Dosing volume is calibrated to your product's bulk density so fill weight stays within the 5-500 g target range.

Film Forming & Seal
Rollstock film unwinds from the rear roll holder, passes over the forming collar, and wraps around the forming tube. The longitudinal seal closes the film into a tube. Film pull length is driven by a servo motor for precise bag length, and photoelectric tracking reads the printed registration mark.

Granule Discharge
The pendulum releases the measured charge of product through the filling chute into the open bag mouth. A short, gentle drop path helps protect fragile candy, nuts, and seeds from cracking during transfer.

Cross Seal & Cutting
Horizontal seal jaws close across the film tube to form the top seal of the filled sachet and the bottom seal of the next sachet. A built-in knife separates the finished bag. Seal temperature, jaw pressure, dwell time, and bag length are adjusted from the touch screen.

Four Core Systems That Define the SW-2030D
The SW-2030D's value comes from the combination of pendulum dosing, multi-format forming, synchronized sealing, and Siemens PLC control. These four systems together determine whether the machine fits your small granule product and bag format.
1. Pendulum (Oscillating) Dosing Head
The pendulum swings a fixed-volume charge from the hopper to the filling chute on each cycle. Unlike turntable cups, the pendulum handles irregular small granules such as candy pieces, nuts, melon seeds, and seeds with less mechanical damage. Dosing volume is calibrated to the product sample before shipment.
2. Multi-Format Forming Tube
Interchangeable forming tubes let the same machine produce three-side-seal, four-side-seal, or back-seal sachets. Tube diameter is selected for bag width from 40 to 140 mm. Additional tubes can be supplied so one operator can switch between SKU formats without swapping the entire machine.
3. Servo Film Pull & Independent Temperature Control
A servo motor drives film pull for accurate bag length, and photoelectric tracking reads printed registration marks so the film is always cut in the correct position. Longitudinal and cross-seal jaws each have independent PID temperature control, which keeps seal strength stable across different film laminates.
4. Siemens PLC + Touch Screen
The Siemens PLC coordinates pendulum swing timing, film pull length, seal temperature, cross-seal jaw timing, and optional date-printer triggering. Operators adjust speed, bag length, and seal parameters from the touch screen. HMI language and voltage can be configured for the destination market.

Pendulum Dosing Head

Stainless Hopper & Forming Collar
Food-grade SUS304 hopper feeds product to the pendulum head. The polished forming collar wraps rollstock film into a stable tube ready for longitudinal sealing.

Independent Temperature Controllers

Optional Date Printer
Thermal ribbon coder prints production date, batch number, and expiry date on each sachet. Position and content are confirmed during machine setup.

It is not the right fit if the product is fine powder requiring auger accuracy, liquid or paste, oversized granules, or packs heavier than 500 g. It is also not the right fit when the required package is a premade stand-up pouch, zipper pouch, or spouted pouch. In those cases, choose the machine platform from the required pouch structure and filling method first.
