SW-2030A: Single-Lane Turntable Cup Granule VFFS
The SW-2030A is a compact vertical form-fill-seal machine engineered for free-flowing granular products in back-seal sachets. Film feeds from a rear-mounted roll, wraps around a cylindrical forming tube, and is sealed with a longitudinal back seal and horizontal cross seals — producing a standard back-seal sachet widely used for single-serve sugar, seed, rice, nut, tea, and desiccant packaging.
The defining feature of the SW-2030A is its rotary turntable cup feeder. A stainless steel turntable carries a ring of measuring cups beneath the product hopper; each cup fills by gravity, travels to the forming tube opening, and tips its contents into the bag. Volumetric cup filling is the most cost-effective and reliable method for free-flowing granules — it handles products that would bridge or rat-hole in an auger screw system. The cup volume is adjustable by swapping cup inserts, and fill timing is programmable on the PLC touch screen for repeatable dose control across production runs.
The SW-2030A shares its mechanical platform with the SW-2030 series of small-sachet vertical machines. Where the SW-2030B uses an auger screw for powder, the SW-2030A replaces that with a turntable cup assembly optimized for granules. The base frame, film drive, sealing system, and control electronics are identical. If your product line includes both granular and powder products, the two machines can run side by side on the same production floor with a shared control architecture. Output Bag Type: Back Seal Sachet
The SW-2030A produces back-seal sachets — also called pillow-type vertical sachets or centre-back-seal bags. Film wraps around the cylindrical forming tube, a longitudinal heat seal runs down the back of the bag, and horizontal cross seals close the top and bottom. This format is the most economical for single-serve granule sachets because it uses a single web of film with minimal waste. The back seal sachet is widely accepted across food, beverage, and industrial markets worldwide.

How the Turntable Cup Granule Forming Cycle Works
The entire forming-filling-sealing cycle runs continuously. Each back-seal granule sachet is completed in under one second at full speed. The rotary turntable and photoelectric film tracking system maintain dose consistency and print registration throughout the production run.

Film Unwind & Tracking
Film unwinds from a roll mounted at the rear of the machine. A photoelectric sensor reads the registration mark on printed film and adjusts pull length in real time, ensuring every bag is cut at the correct position. The servo-driven film pull maintains consistent tension across the full speed range. Maximum film width is 300 mm, supporting bag widths from 25 mm to 140 mm.

Forming Tube & Back Seal
Film passes over a forming collar (shoulder) that wraps it around a cylindrical forming tube. The two film edges overlap along the back of the tube, where a heated seal bar creates a continuous longitudinal back seal. The forming tube diameter determines the bag width — different tube sizes are available for different sachet dimensions. Changing the forming tube takes approximately 10 minutes.

Turntable Cup Filling
Granules flow by gravity from the hopper into a ring of measuring cups on the rotating turntable. Each cup fills flush with the hopper outlet; a leveling bar sweeps excess product back into the hopper. The cup then travels to the forming tube opening and tips, dropping the measured dose into the bag below. Cup volume is adjustable by swapping inserts — a 5-minute toolless changeover between different fill weights.

Cross Seal & Cutting
Horizontal seal jaws close across the film tube below the filled granule, creating the bottom seal of the current bag and the top seal of the next bag simultaneously. A knife built into the jaw assembly cuts between the two seals to separate the finished sachet. Temperature, jaw pressure, and dwell time are all adjustable from the touch screen to suit different film types and bag weights. Finished sachets discharge onto a collection tray or downstream conveyor.

The core differentiator of the SW-2030A. A motorized turntable carries a ring of stainless steel measuring cups beneath the product hopper. Gravity fills each cup to a preset volume; a leveling bar sweeps excess product back into the hopper. The filled cup tips over the forming tube opening and drops the measured dose. Cup volume is adjustable by swapping inserts — a 5-minute toolless operation for changeover between different fill weights. Accuracy is ±2% for uniform free-flowing granules at speeds up to 100 bags per minute.
② PLC Touch Screen Control
A colour touch screen displays packing speed, cup cycle timing, sealing temperature, bag length, and fault codes on a single screen. Up to 20 product recipes can be saved and recalled for fast changeover between different SKUs. The PLC coordinates the turntable rotation, film pull, and seal jaw timing in real time. Language and unit settings are configurable at order — English, Spanish, Arabic, Russian, and other options available.
③ Compact Forming Tube Assembly
The cylindrical forming tube determines the bag width. Film wraps around the tube via a forming collar (shoulder), and the back seal bar runs along the tube's rear edge. Changing the forming tube to a different diameter — and with it the bag width — takes approximately 10 minutes. Each tube is precision-machined from SUS304 stainless steel and polished to food-grade finish. The compact assembly keeps the overall machine footprint under 1.2 m² of floor space.
④ Dual-Direction Heat Sealing
The SW-2030A uses two independent sealing systems: a longitudinal back seal bar for the continuous back seal, and horizontal cross-seal jaws for the top and bottom of each sachet. Temperature, pressure, and dwell time are independently adjustable for each sealing direction via the touch screen panel. This dual-system design allows you to optimize seal strength separately for the back seal (which must resist granule impact during filling) and the cross seals (which must cut cleanly between bags).
